I AFFIRM ME is an alphabet book full of affirmations to help inspire and empower Black kids as they embrace their identity. This book is well written and has many examples to help discuss social justice.

Go beyond the text:

📝 ACTIVITY: Use the first sentence as a starting point and write your own affirmation. Example: "D is for dream." Kids write their own affirmations after.

🗣DISCUSS: "J is for justice." Why are there names (George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and more) in the girl's hair?

Loved the illustrations as well. Powerful message and great addition to classroom libraries.
